Chris Kunitz has a 2014 gold medal because he played well with Crosby. If Hyman gels with McD, why not him. You can't have an entire team of all stars. You do need a few guys to go to the net, dig pucks out, do all the dirty work.

Kunitz was an idiotic selection from a Team Canada braintrust that constantly outthinks itself instead of just taking the best players. The team won gold because it was a ridiculously good team even so, and so taking a couple of scrubs isn't enough to make it competitive with lesser rosters.
If the braintrust is taking any 40-50 point forwards, they're doing it wrong. Probably won't pay for that mistake, but it is still a mistake. Hyman should not be on the Canadian national team.
