Apathy is a symptom of the team we've been watching for the last 3 years.

Wow,

Gagner, Nilsson and Stortini on the power play! The rangers are not afraid to take penalties because if Edmonton puts these guys on the ice they will not score...

That's upsetting. Enough with Stortini on the powerplay and sending a message. Quinn, try something else. I thought he was the type of coach where if the team loses 3 in a row all he does is make them skate skate skate in practices.

I see our illustrious power play is really doing damage again.

Meanwhile, the #$%@ Canucks are somehow continuing to win with a depleted lineup, including their top scorer and franchise goalie.

I hate the hockey gods.

Ticket paying and PPV paying customers are not allowed to complain?

It's called being a sportsfan. I bought the PPV and haven't complained yet. I'm okay with forum members that do though.

It's not the hockey gods it's the Oilers organization. They are as apathetic as the team.

Yes, it's been years now.

I expect nothing from this team/organization at this point and there is something not right about that when the fans who put money out to watch these games or go to these games etc, feel this way.

After the first period, I'd have to say things are looking ugly. Mile Ricci ugly.

I'm going to the game in Ottawa on Tuesday. They won't stand a chance against the Sens if they play like this. It could be a long night. Beer will help me through it.

Does this team not remember what scoring is? At this rate we give another backup a shutout. How can an NHL team be so empty of heart and energy?

The Oilers are actually ruining my night. I haven't been in this bad of a mood in a long time. And it's purely due to them (the Canucks game was a contributor I guess).

and it is.

6-2-1 becomes 7-8-1 in a blink of an eye

Penalty killing, faceoffs, grit, power play, scoring, defense... those are our only weaknesses right now. Maybe goaltending too.

Anemic PP.
Gilbert / Grebeshkov and Moreau have been ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL on the PK, and with dumb penalty after dumb penalty the Oilers have singlehandedly revitalized the Ranger's powerplay.

The Oilers need to start throwing the puck at the net and forget the perfect pass = offensive zone giveaways.

Comrie throws the puck on net and gets an ugly goal.
Hopefully we throw everything at the net for the rest of the game.

Surprise -- dumb penalty by Moreau. Cross checking a NYR defender no where near the puck in front of their own net…
