WOOOOOOOOT!!!!

Welcome McD!

Very cool that the jersey had #97 on it rather than the year. Also, I like the orange jersey. Throw back, cool.

Happy to see the pick at the Victoria airport. This comment is odd. What exactly have you built Mr Hall? You don't even understand why teams play after the regular season yet!!

It's a strange comment no matter how you interpret it. If Hall is serious, then you have to question his sanity. If he's joking then I guess he's bashing Lowe/Tambo/MacT? :)

Or Hall knows that the long rebuild has been the plan all along. icon_wink

It's still bashing a lot of hard work by incompetent people though :) Maybe Hallsy was one of the guys nudging the media to keep grilling the OBC.

Can someone post a pic of the new jersey the Oil put onto McSavior? I'm not a huge fan of orange, but I hear that this one is sexy.

P.S.: I'm hearing that the Oil have made a deal with the Rags to get Talbot, and that it didn't involve giving up the 16th pick.

Here's another shot of the new jersey. I like it. It matches the Katz kids hair.

Yeah I was a little surprised to see both Lowe and MacT there. Why would the business side of hockey need to be there on draft day?!

Did Mcdonalds not have a McDavid day there? A 97 cent cheeseburger special or something like that? Because that would have been awesome. Who doesn't like McDavids?

What were the rules on where they were supposed to stand? That black line is added, but if the rule was just to stay behind the hashmarks then Kadri is ok. The video says it is the "shooting line" but how were players or officials supposed to know where that is if it isn't on the ice?

Pretty happy with this pick. Good job Chia

Most accurate shooter in the league. Kadri cheated.

Ha good catch! NHL can't even officiate an NHL skills competition! lmao rofl lmao rofl

What were the rules on where they were supposed to stand? That black line is added, but if the rule was just to stay behind the hashmarks then Kadri is ok. The video says it is the "shooting line" but how were players or officials supposed to know where that is if it isn't on the ice?

It was painted on the ice. There is an arrow pointing to it at the start of the video.

Guessing the rule was at least 1 foot behind the line? Clearly Kadri is completely over it at the end.

Typical NHL stuff.

Ah, ok I see the line now (kind of). I could see it in the individual competition, but in the head to head I just saw a couple dots. McDavid has a foot go over the line a bit, but Kadri is clearly not even paying attention to it at all. I know the all-star competition doesn't matter, but if it matters so little that they don't even pretend to enforce the made up rules then why do it at all.

I didn't realize before this video that Kadri gets 5 shots off. Seems like 4 for 4 should beat 4 for 5 even when the 5 shots were faster (faster in part because he was standing several feet closer).

I can't wait for a real game tomorrow so we don't have to think about this again for a year.

Figure time should be the tie breaker instead of the actual goal, especially because the speed is so dependent on the passer too, but hey, who are we to question the geniuses making an accuracy contest? :)

Maybe they should have an actual fastest shooter comp where time matters and guys have to 1-time shots instead of take wrist shots.
