Lou has made some good saves, but holy crap are we lucky in our end tonight. So many golden opportunities for the Canucks bouncing at just the wrong time before they can take a shot or make a pass to a wide open guy with nothing but net to shoot at.
Would be curious to see how much we generated 5 on 5 tonight, bet it's damn near nothing.

Gazdic is an idiot playing right into Kassian's game. I have respect for Gazdic, but if he isn't willing to grab Kassian without asking and go to town then he's useless and should be turfed. If there was ever a chance to show some pride, even if it meant penalty or game ejection.

Thought it interesting earlier tonight when they talked about the Canucks on the team the last time Henrik Sedin missed a game. Five of his teammates were still around way back in 2004. The Oilers have had only one player around from that day to now - Ales Hemsky. And we are counting down the days until he's gone too. I think after him Gagner is the longest standing Oiler. That's a huge amount of turnover and means that the entire team has turned over since the rebuild began. Well, the first rebuild anyhow.
