Does anybody else think that Moreau is not that good of a penalty killer? He just always seems to get caught running either to the other wing or bellow the hashmarks. Maybe it's just me but he seems to just run around a lot.

Well, the Sens are really helping our cause eh?

Man I hate the Canucks!

On a side note, our good buddies down south are winning!

I know Stortini has been playing well, but this guy is a 4th liner.

Also JFJ? Why not try to develop somebody like Brule, who actually has potential and it showed while he was up with the Oilers.

1-0 not like we couldn't see that coming, I think the give aways are about 10-0 for our oil

If I recall correctly it has to do something with waivers. For now I would like to give jfj one more try at being a physical forward. In the end I'd rather have brule schremp and potulny over redoxx jfj and pouliot. Pouliot will never be a 2nd liner and he doesn't have the play of a checker. Useless development. Redoxx is too small and provides little benefits. Jfj just can't seem to adjust to an NHL style of play. At least with schremp, potulny and brule u
You have potential, offensive creativity, and a couple of guys who will throw hits.

Another give away caused that goal as far as I'm concerned.

How many times do the Oilers actually win when they do not score the first goal?

Based on the amount of discussion surrounding the Oilers around here you can guess that they're a pretty exciting product. Maybe we need to jazz up these threads more. Let's try a chant.

Horcoff should not be on the number 1 powerplay unit. Put someone on the ice that can finish. Its an insult to Hemsky to consistently whiff on beauitful passes like that.

No, no it's a big conspiracy along the same lines as the Illuminati or the Freemasons. Tambo is just the front man while the puppet master is behind the scenes controlling everything.

Why just the other day I heard that there is no such Darryl Katz, it's actually Lowe with a hairpiece and some stage make-up.

And with the 1st pick overall the Edmonton Oilers are proud to select from the Swedish highschool league: Lars Svendsson.

Not too bad of a first. Brutal, lazy play by Cole cost us a goal. And Rollie doing his part to ensure that another guy playing in his 1st NHL game gets a goal against the Oil. Seriously I think we have a monopoly on guy's getting their first goal and guy's needing a goal to end a long slump.

As soon as I heard the Stars had a 24 yr old guy in his first game I thought "Book it, he's good for one tonight".

Hemsky needs to wake up, he had 2-3 TO's alone and a stupid selfish penalty. Smid/Peckham don't seem to be in a good mood tonight, which is excellent. I'm starting to think Smid might be more like Robyn Regehr than Mattias Ohlund (as some have projected). Either way......... icon_thumbsup.

Like the overall attitude from this team the last 3-4 games. Not taking any Shiite.

Nice hit by Moreau in our zone. If Gagner could make an appearance tonight that would be great.

Moreau with another stupid penalty. Dallas player on the outside, not a threat, with his mates on a line change and Moreau takes out his skates. Then Moreau proceeds to get a second minor.

Hey, at least Stortini is noticeable and, at least, adds some grinding and banging. Pouliot could be wearing a pink jersey and I wouldn't be able to tell if he was on the ice.

No argument here. I didnt mean that as a shot at Stortini. I really like what he brings, and I think he can be a very good fourth line guy.

I dont think I have ever disagreed with an analyst more than with Mike Brophy during the 2nd intermission.

His two main points were;

Roloson has held the Oilers in this game and that the Stars should have 10 goals if not for him. and...

How great Horcoff has played and that he is the sort of player who when he is on his game you 'cant take your eyes of him'.

WTF? Am I missing something here? Are we watching hte same game?
