The Ottawa pick is a HUGE reach. 30+ picks early...

I know nothing about these draft guys, especially this year, here is a tweet I just saw re; the Sabres pick at #14;

Isak Rosen 14th overall. I ranked him 217th overall, and 150th among forwards.

Rosen is a 161 lb forward who scored only 1 point in 22 SHL games and did not exceed a point per game in the Swedish J20 Nationell. Statistically, his profile is underwhelming.

If Wallstedt is there in a few picks, they have to take him don’t they? Can’t see the Rags or Preds taking a goalie. Maybe the blues or jets might.

Here we thought the Oilers were hung up on famous last names, from Gord Miller;

Ottawa has a few sons of former NHL players:
-Brady Tkachuk (Keith)
-Josh Norris (Dwayne)
-Logan Brown (Jeff)
-Jake Sanderson (Geoff)
-Ridly Greig (Mark)
-Tyler Boucher (Brian)

Wow. Oilers might have to choose between Wallstedt and Cossa. That’s both amazing and probably gonna go the wrong way. You SHOULD take Wallstedt, but will they go with the Oil King????

Buggers take Cossa. And no doubt Wallstedt goes before us now.

Yzerman trying to get his Hedman and Vaselineman back with this draft.

Ours is the #52. But, having #52 probably made it a lot easier to move #48.

I quickly realized that. Not a huge deal. If the goalies go, some other really good players fall further.

Jets and Nash between us and Wallstedt. Neither needs a goalie, Nashville just took a goalie last draft. Hope stays alive for the 30 minutes it'll take to get through those 2 picks.

Do we even know if the Oilers are thinking goalie? Does Jesse Ninnimaki have a son yet?

For real man. This could be a massive massive moment. I have no clue what NSH goalie pipeline looks like.

A goalie in 1st round 2 years in a row for a team that can't score would be unwise I think.

Detroit trading up here... thinking they go Wallstedt

Buggers take Cossa. And no doubt Wallstedt goes before us now.

Yzerman trying to get his Hedman and Vaselineman back with this draft.

Who's pick was #48 (what the used to move up) again?

Ours is the #52. But, having #52 probably made it a lot easier to move #48.

I quickly realized that. Not a huge deal. If the goalies go, some other really good players fall further.

Jets and Nash between us and Wallstedt. Neither needs a goalie, Nashville just took a goalie last draft. Hope stays alive for the 30 minutes it'll take to get through those 2 picks.

My pants will fly over Rogers if we get Wallstedt

For real man. This could be a massive massive moment. I have no clue what NSH goalie pipeline looks like.

They took Askarov last year at like 15? Dang good Russian. They have no reason to go Wallstedt IT COULD BE US BUDDY

I just remembered that. Ho. Lee. Crap. Don’t screw this up Holland. (They we’re probably Cossa or bust)

I hate Steve Yzerman.

So many highly touted players left. I trust Wright. Don’t screw this up.

For the record. I wanted one of the two goalie. Then Othmann. Then Bolduc. Then Dach.

I get it, Wallstedt was a gift. Minny or the Bruins will take him.

Lol. So this won’t be revisionist - much like Barzal. A lot of us were excited Wallstedt fell, and they gave the pick away.

They might still be able to get him in 2 picks, but I think this was a mistake.

Someone like RDO or other will tell us in 5 years when Wallstedt is accepting the Vezina that there was no way to know.

Does an extra pick offset a great prospect in a need position?

I’d argue this is a huge error on the Oilers behalf.

I guess it’s time to re-up Koskinen
