Nygard extended 1 year per Oilers twitter;

$875,000 is the hit. Cheaper than he cost this year. Good deal for speed.

At least 3 goals, likely 5 in the bank for next year!

2015/2016 - This Kool-Aid tastes like McDavid flavoured Drain-O.
2016/2017 - This Kool-Aid is starting to taste like juice.
2017/2018 - I'm drinking this Kool-Aid, in hopes that it's Drain-O.
2018/2019 - Another round of Drain-O, good sir!

I don't mind them resigning him. I think there is a player in Nygard. Making the jump to the NHL from Sweden is a big one and he will know how train for the NHL. Strudwick has said many times there is being in hockey shape, then NHL shape. I think he will be way better next year.

Kid sure can skate. He and Archibald were solid 3rd line wingers with Sheahan before the injuries and blender were seeing now.

Imagine he makes the same 925K or less on this deal which is a win.

He's got big time wheels and has some skill. As long as it's cheap and I can't see how he wouldn't get similar to what he makes now, it's a win for me.

I like it,good price, his first few steps are killer, seen him pinch in D guys on the forecheck. I feel his production will go up with a little more time on a NA rink.

Oh yeah, cabin season is coming up fast! Maybe they can even do the pre-draft meetings out there!

Sounds like 875k. Not bad. They can easily get rid of the contract.

Wouldn't be opposed to Haas getting the same deal either.

Haas is better in my mind, that's a guaranteed 5 likely 9 goals next year!

If we keep Smith next year, we'll need about 325 goals to make the playoffs, so:

325
-40 Connor
-45 LD
-9 Haas
-5 Nygard
-20 RNH
-15 ZK
-12 Alex C
-75 Yamamoto
-35 Neal (if he stops drinking)
-12 Josh
-5 Oscar
-8 Sheahan
-10 Samwise
-5 Nurse
-7 Bear
-8 Jujhar
-15 Everyone else
=-1

Yep, should be good. I don't know what my point is. Don't ask.

Is that the French Canadian spelling for Mike Hoffman?

Yamamoto 75 goals? Wow. The optimist in me is thrilled. The cynic in me is questioning.
