Lots of ppl here were asking for an extension. His ES production last year was great. And many knew the points would boost once he got the PP time.
I didn't expect him to be this good this fast on the PP though, to be fair. But even if he wasn't participating as much as he has been the assists would still be racking up just by being there like it did for Nurse, Klef, Barrie before.

Did you notice the third PP unit out there as well? Clearly Woodcroft didn't think he needed to use his big guns down the stretch last night. McDavid & Draisaitl both well under 20 minutes in the game. A luxury to be able to play out the stretch that way.
I have to say, I find when we're up by 5 the games are a lot less stressful to watch...
