Happy Hockey Day, everyone...should be a feel good kind of day if you have ever had the passion for hockey, as a player, coach, referee, off ice official, fan...done 'em all myself...loved every minute...

Flames-Oilers is the perfect finale for today...here's hoping it turns out the right way, with an Oiler win...

The papers say MacIntyre likely will get a rare chance to play. MacT seems to like the physical play the boys have shown...no more Team Cupcake...he is even blowing off the lack of production of his second line...they apparently stay together tonight..

Go, Oilers!!!

Welcome to the board Art...great handle and solid Seinfeld reference in post numero uno.

When I expect the Oilers to win (ex. in Dallas) they flub up...When I expect them to lose (like tonight) they surprise.

4-2 Oil.

The Oilers have to shoot anything at Kipper, the more pucks he faces in the 1st period the more weak he is,since the Flames are the best team in the NHL in the 2nd period. The Oilers just have to shut the Flames down early and then I don't have to go back to Calgary and hear it from the Saddledome crowd when the Oilers come back for the final game vs. the Flames wrap up the season series tonight and make the Flames pay.I say Stortini vs. Roy (Stortini will win by tko), (McInytre vs. Regher just because what he did to Hemsky) (Big Mac wins by TKO) Well we don't have to worry about Bourque, but hopefully Moreau will be facing Camelleri he just needs to shut him down no more goals, and Phaneuf is the biggest wimp in the NHL starts something but curls up and runs to the bench or maybe to his mommy 4-1 Oilers, the Flames will score in the last minute of the 3rd to ruin Roli's shutout bid.Fight

Give the man credit he did try and stand up for himself once and you can kind of understand why he avoids it after this..

I badly want the boys to win this one but I fear it's the Flamers' to lose.

5-3 Calgary.

Dumb penalties aside, I hope Copper & Blue show some real compete, and play with an edge to their game. Needs to be a few fights, steady hitting, and maybe 1 or 2 mob scenes.

Tenacity baby.

I hope to hell that this isn't Greentree's first NHL game or his birthday or the anniversary that his uncle was drafted or some junk, cause you know damn well the Oilers love giving guys their first NHL points.

Remember October 18, 2008??

When some of us thought 1 NW should be achievable? How we all had high hopes for the season ahead of us?

Good times.

I never get sick of watching that hit. I like the wide screen youtube version better.

You can see MacIntyres arms pumping like pumpjacks as he barrelled into the Flames end with the widescreen. rock

Well Vanouver won again. Minnesota's on their way to beating Detroit in the third. Yes you can beat good teams. Somebody needs to tell that to the Oilers, for they look like they just roll over against them.

I love the CBC color guy, without mentioning any names, says Van just needs to get this to OT for the point. Don't we love that extra point. Although, they did end up winning the game.

Anyway, lets see how the Oilers perform tonight in the latest 'big' game. I'd like to see Horcoff our core player, leader, highest salary player soon, carry this team tonight. How many times has he done that this season? Isn't that part of what he is getting paid for.
