Why did MacT do that? So that Stortini and MacIntyre can play? That 3rd line has been the energy line for the first 4 games.

I'm guessing injury or illness.

Well 0-0 after one, outshot the Avs 9-7.

Good road period is all you can say about that.

Although no goals there is not much to complain about that period. First line has more jump. Garon is on.

Grebs penalty woes are getting annoying again. Keeps doing the same things. Keeps getting caught. He needs to start getting it. Soon.

My thoughts as well. Nobody looked bad really. I think Gilbert has played with more intensity than he has yet this season. Hemsky is looking good.

One thing that made me mad was when Cole made a nice move and did all that work to get beetween the circles, and then passes it to Hemmer. Hemmer of course does not shoot. Why? Well it had little chance to go in, but if he played it low for a rebound Horcoff could have been all over it. SHOOT!!!

Nice 1st period. Legs seem good and chances are being generated. If things keep going the way they are now we should pull this one out.

The Oil strike on the PP as Souray's point shot pinballs right to Shawny-on-the-spot Horcoff, who promptly deposits the disc into the beckoning cage. Hemsky has a helper too. Good times.

I'm liking how Garon is handling the puck tonight. It's a pretty good defensive weapon to have a goalie that can handle the puck. I don't remember him being great with the puck before. Has he always been that way?

Good news: Oilers look like they've really regrouped from last night's debacle. Wave Towel

Bad news: Nashville has a massive 3rd period collapse and gives up a 3-0 lead to the Flamers only to have Calgary win 4-3. doh

The Avholes tie it up as Laperriere pounces on the rebound of Guite's point shot and backhands it 5-hole past Garon. Weak. Times not so good.

The 4th line has had 3 shifts for about 2 minutes TOT. I can understand why being it's a tight game. But with back to back I hope there are still some legs in the 3rd period. Needs to get them in sooner than later though. More time if things go bad.

Anyone else have the feeling the Oilers are going to follow up there 4 game win streak with the customary 7 game losing streak. From the 6 and 1/2 games ive seen so far this team hasnt been very impressive. We will have to wait untill saturday for the possiblity of seeing the Oilers show up for 60 minutes. We are fortunate to be 4-2 on the year the way the team has played early.

Mmm...nope. I actually think we'll be so-so for about 2 months and then we're going to catch fire from Christmas on once these guys get used to playing with each other. It's clear to me that there's more talent on this team than we've had in a long time. This doesn't feel like years past at all to me.

Eh? Get used to playing with each other? You mean like horcoff and Hemsky being together for about 5 years? The kid line being together for about a year? Pisani and Moreau playing together? This excuse about gelling and not playing together is nonsense.
