I think it is safe to say Garon is the main man now. I cant help but think if Rollie was in net that the score would be 3-1 St.Louis.

Stortini's knuckles were RAW... must be the chafing on the jerseys he was holding.

No, that look was the "who is this annoying old a-hole, and why is he hitting me on the arm getting him to laugh at his ridiculous attempt at humor?" face.
Finally we all now know... good ol Rod does sweet F-all for the money.

Much better period by the Oilers. Garon is really playing well. Penner and Nilsson are playing well too.
Nilsson has played pretty rough tonight too, not so much throwing hits, but letting himself get slammed pretty good to make a play at least twice that i saw. He went on a bit of a shooting frenzy after that missed opportunity.
Horcoff and MacIntyre rule.

I'm sure T-mac is telling the boys to hold on to the 1-1 tie...cause if we take the lead we'll lose by 1 in the last 2 minutes...

I really have to get satellite radio.
I'm with the family in Palm Springs and one of the vehicles we rented has XM Radio. I just went to the grocery store to pick up some spirits and listened to the game...I've listened to comedy, to news...I'd never heard much satellite radio, but after spending the better part of two weeks with it, I think it might be a worthwhile investment. It's clearer than 630 CHED is, even in Edmonton!

Same as they do in a tie game.
Or down by one.
Or down by two.
Or up by 3.
Cue the defensive shell, and Garon getting a continued workout.

34 GP.
Not one goal.
A pitiful 4 assists, despite a month of playing time.

High sticking penalty late in the third? Sounds like a script we've seen before.

I think the oil are the modern day Titanic. We're large on the salery cap, with high expectations only to sink on the seas of play.
On the bright side of this game:
Gilbert - great game
Penner - solid!
Pitkanen - good job
Garon - You fly like an eagle in a barn full of turkeys!

How did Penner NOT finish that right into the net, with him going full tilt right behind it!
Good shift by Cogs - there is such a thing as a good penalty, otherwise we'd be down by one right about now...
