Now now that is no way to talk about our team.
Something has to give sooner or later.

Playing to protect a lead....you know MacT's strength as a coach teaching defensive responsibilities? Hopefully we spot the other team the lead and come from behind to win.
I expect little. Hitchcock can actually coach, MacT can't. I expect Columbus is becoming the borg like team all his teams eventually end up as.
On the plus side are statistics. We are statistically ready to win now after 5 losses. But we also are 90% likely to give up a point. At least it won't be to a team in our own division.
Can MacT and Lowe Katz. Just buy this team and demand some accountability from management. Only 31 more days til Jan 31 and the deadline for the EIG to sell to Katz. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
So this is what hope feels like?

I think the Oilers are going to win this game, just when things look the worst they pull off a few wins to keep from going under the water.
As for Katz, I see no moves from him at all for a good long time regardless of what happens. If he owned the team totally tommorrow this regime would be starting off like new and get at least 2 or 3 more years to 'work their magic'. Katz is not going to be riding in on his accountability pony.

Your most likly right Beerfish. Even though I wouldnt mind if they bombed the next few and got MacT canned. Lowe if your reading this I meant next few games not years. 4-3 Oilers in a shootout after dropping a two goal lead in the third is my prediction.

Not true. If you flip a coin a billion times, record the results, and look at every instance where it came up heads five times in a row, the sixth flip will be tails half the time. Five consecutive losses do not make a sixth attempt more likely to win.
I'd rather have Raffi on IR right now than Moreau. Hemmer and Pits are sorely missed. Less so Raffi. But look at how well Detroit has played with both Zetterberg and Holmstrom out of the lineup. Sheesh.
Our young offence looks lost out there. I suppose they should. But so does Stoll. Would love to see a two-point game out of him tonight, but I think his circuits are fried and need a few years to rewire. In the meantime, I'll keep my hopes for him simple: win half his faceoffs, attempt only foolproof passes on the breakout, get the puck out of our zone, dump it into theirs. I don't want to see him on specialty teams anymore, not until he shows some fire again EV.
To paraphrase Glen Sather, "Horc, you're up."
And here's to Pitkanen's spinal cord.

So.... are you talking about our D, or the Forward core, or the coach........... please, if you see positives right now, share with the rest of us.
The only Steady thing about him is his deterioration in play.

I think the Oil win this one if only so they can maintain their mantle of mediocre. Eventhough we know they're terrible.

The OGM asked for a prophet to lead us out of the dark on another thread. What the hell:
OIL win 5 - 0.

This is Columbus guys....Hitchcock OWNS MacT.
3-0 Columbus, another shutout for Leclaire, MacT scratches his head when putting Patrick Thoresen on the PP point in place of Joni Pitkanen fails to generate offense.
"But it worked so well with Toby last year!".......
