Well, another game without Torres showing up so he might as well sit in the penalty box for 12min. Too f'n bad he caused a goal. Doubt we'll see him on the ice after this and hopefully he's traded tomorrow. It's bad enough he rarely puts in an effort, but now he's proactively harming his team. 
Oh ya, there's nothing wrong with the refereeing tonight....except Burrows is allowed to jump everytime he hits someone. Forget about Cooke, he's almost all legal, it is Burrows that deserves a thumping.

I would agree thas clearly "directed in with his skate" as the rule states. He saw the puck coming before he turned his foot, and then it went in. I wonder what the result had been had Smyth done that. Somehow im not sure it would have been a goal so quickly.

the problem with the Cooke call is they could have easily called him or Cowan on a number of cheap shots but didn't, he goes after Nedved who is clearly away from the puck yet no call. Its the inconsistency in the NHL that sucks so much. You either call them all or you call none, being inconsistent doesn't help anyone...
the fact they scored their first two goals on a 5 on 3 ruined the game for me completely

How about Ray Ferraro for coach? He seems to know his sh*t. You could tell he was getting totally pissed that the Oilers kept dumping the puck in and then just letting VAN send it up to the man on the half-board, and out.
