Have you watched I would say the majority of most high end offensive players on any NHL team?

As much as I partially agree with you in that every player should be backchecking hard every shift and not dogging it to the bench on a change, I don't think that's a realistic expectation. If you were to watch other teams top line players, I am pretty confident in saying you will see a huge majority of them not always backchecking as hard as they could on every shift and not always skating 100% to the bench on a change. This isn't a Leon thing.

On most nights, the amount of good plays he does, far, far out weigh the bad.
