They might want to "win". It's when you allow less goals against than the other team. Often, you check out the other team's goaltender and if you think one of your goalies can let in less goals than the oppositions, you play him. If not, you have to hold him accountable.
Oooops, sorry WhoreableGuy, I thought you were an Oilers exec, didn't mean to talk down to you and explain how hockey works in kid's terms. Please excuse me. ;)
Isles played it very slow (6 shots) for the first two periods last night against Calgary. Rather than risk no points on this road swing, they stayed in the game but unfortunately lost to a good team. Now they want the guaranteed easy freebie gimme complimentary 2 road points from the Oilers. At least, that's my angle on their strategy.
