Dubnyk is an average NHL goalie.
If you expect him to steal tight games, you will be disappointed.
If you think he's only worthy of being backup, you aren't giving him enough credit.
The combination of him with this immature team is... well... a lack of playoffs. If roster in front of him was better, he'd be fine.

Did you watch the series between the Flyers and Pens in last year's playoffs? Fleury is at best inconsistent as a goaltender and has to thank being on a team with Crosby and Malkin on it, not to mention a defense that is half-competent, though losing Hal Gill was a blow.

No way Rok. That series WAS terrible, but Dubnyk can't carry Fleury's jock. At his best, he's a top 10 goalie in the league. At Dubnyk's best, he's the 20th best goalie in the league.

I agree about Dubs, but only insofar as to say that he's far from the only reason that this game is going into the toilet. It's a team game, and the rest of the team has hardly been lights-out tonight, mainly because the concept of "keeping it simple" is proving to be too complicated for them to grasp.
Seriously, I want the front office and coaching staff scoured after this season even if the team makes it to the playoffs by some miracle. They're not moving another inch forward unless this happens.

Hall played scared after the whole incident...where was MIKE BROWN??? Not doing his job thats for sure...so annoyed right now by the penalties that weren't called and the one's that were in those last 5 minutes...Dubes let up some softies but stopped a lot of shots that are for sure goals...i'm not mad at him just mad this team showed up so late and played intimidated...Yaks didn't take crap and neither did Smid...
