This would be a 1st round matchup if the playoffs started today. That would not be good. Hate to say it, but the Oilers would be better finishing 2nd in the Pacific.
Colorado-Vegas-Winnipeg to get out of the west feels like an impossible situation.

Beat them pretty good the last two times. See what happens tonight. Always fun playing these guys.

Given this version of the Jets' playoff history, I don't like their odds of making it three rounds. Either Hellebuyck gets tired from overplaying in the regular season or their offence dries up. The only year since 2017-18 that this didn't happen was the bubble year when the league played a reduced schedule. And, even then, the offence dried up in the 2nd round.
Tonight could be interesting. The Avs seem to have gotten over the Rantanen trade faster than Rantanen has. Last game before the break for both teams. Could be a barnburner.
What happened to all of my messages? lol (I guess it's been awhile) BlueSky: StefBarnes

Next big goal, I think Leon is deserving of his own MVP chant.

Just to highlight how impressive Drai's season is. He's on pace for 15 more EV points than his current best NHL year. Probably would be running away with the Art Ross right now with ~100 points if our PP was clicking.
Lots of aspects of our team have been up and down and all over the map this season, except Drai who has just been chugging along with a Hart quality year. Some guys fade when they get their retirement money locked up. Drai has done the complete opposite.

Every step of his career he has exceeded expectations and put any doubts and narratives to rest.
From the draft, myself and others wanted Sam Bennett. Leon has well outperformed Sam Bennett.
He has certainly exceeded his 3rd overall draft position. Re-draft and he goes number 1.
When he signed his 8x8.5 million dollar second contract, he was coming off a top 10 season in points. It was rich for RFAs on second deals at the time. Myself and others had my doubts he could keep up that kind of performance. He only got better. Winning a hart, scoring 50 goals three times, putting up absurd playoff stats.
And now, he’s on track for a 2nd Hart trophy immediately after signing the richest NHL deal. There shouldn’t be anything that surprises us anymore but he just keeps on exceeding all expectations.
Give him his own chant Edmonton!!
