The Oil has to start looking into why the bottom teams play them so well?

That upcoming break is going to be super welcome. We're scrapping out wins, but we've looked far from the dominant team we were a month or so back.
Take the break & get over that flu bug that's been ripping through the team.

Nice to see Drai pass Mac in the scoring race. Tomorrow's game should be fun to watch.

It is very noticeable, especially with McDavid. He has the burst going through the neutral zone and making an entry, but then his feet stop moving. Very unMcJesus like. Back-to-back games, trying to recover from an illness seems to be a likely case.

Was it confirmed lots of the team is suffering from illness? Maybe been too hard on them if that's the case.

McDavid especially. Guy somehow manages to get super ill at least once every season.

Dude eats too clean. Body needs fastfood once in a while to build up that immune system.

I think it was Louie who said that the flu bug was hitting the dressing room when Ekholm missed that one game. That and Stauffer who travels with the team looks to be pale and sweaty during interviews .....

I am purely speculating and I know Stauff is a heart attack in waiting.

That's why I eat fast food every week. I never get sick. Lol

I listened to the pregame and first period on Ched, and there was an interview with Knob where he mentioned that there was a bug going through the room.

@Adam: No kidding eh? A skill guy looking better when he gets to play with other skilled guys. Who would have thought?
Mind you, that time on the bench and in the bottom 6 does seem to have impacted his will on the defensive side of things. He looks WAY better defensively now than he was earlier in the season.

Thanks. I’ve been missing pregame stuff a lot.

Optimistic then that these guys can up their play after some rest! Winning anyways but maybe can get special teams and finer points all back into a playoff form.

Also there were about four people including McDavid and Ekholm that missed Sunday's skill competition because of illness.

Interesting to see how much better Skinner looks playing with Draisaitl as opposed to Derek Ryan...
