David Staples beating the drum HARD for Gaetan Haas today, saying that we've found our #3C. It's a shame that there's an actual law from the Hockey Gods that says that anything David Staples advocates for is always wrong. (There's a lot of evidence that actually anything Staples advocates at all is always wrong too).
Haas has 10 points in 60 games. Unless he suddenly developed hands over the last few months, those aren't third line numbers and while I like a lot of what he brings, we should be expecting more from our third line.
Of course, he may end up in that position this year, but it's due to a weak spot on the Oilers roster, not because he should be a #3C.

If his only competition is Turris, he might have a shot :) Definitely agree, that is not what a good team should be satisficed with as a #3C, if we can get past how manly Haas' chin is.
I didn't follow last game who Turris was actually playing with. Chaisson then Kahun, McDavid were his most common linemates 5v5 last game. Just some random stuff I guess?
Maybe Turris can be a winger on the 3rd line. I already have him in the Gagner zone in my head. Should be playing wing, just not good enough offensively to make up for how bad he is handling C responsibilities in his own end.
