I was worried that Larsson wouldn't get his goal against but he dug deep, totally nutted up and did it with less than a minute to go by letting Stutzel get behind him. Thatta boy!!!
In all seriousness, the Oilers played solid. They did what they had to do.
Koskinen was solid.
Bouchard looked good. All he does is create offence and loves to shoot. I thought his skating looked fine as he was able to get all over the ice.
JP looked real good and scored goals he should be able to score with that big of a body. I am happy for him and hope it's only the start.
Haas had another good game. Helped on the PK, looked solid.
Barrie looked good again and I love that he's shooting.
I thought McDavid, Nuge and Leon had quieter nights.
Lagesson looked good in really limited minutes.
I thought Kassian looked more engaged. 6 hits, mixing it up. Maybe M. Tkachuk's little bro got him nice and fired up for the Lames game.
I still don't get dressing 7 dmen when Koekkoek played just over 8 mins and Lagesson under 9.
3 wins in a row, .500 now. I am not planning the parade yet for beating the Send twice but at the same time, the Oilers of the past were famous for losing to teams that should beat. They didn't this time.  Hopefully they can boot stomp the Lames.

I don't think I ever once said I didn't like JP and I always wanted him to do well because the Oilers drafted him and if he does well, it benefits the team. I want my team to win plain and simple and to do that, they need all their players doing well and when a team uses a high draft pick on a guy, they need that draft pick to pan out. I am not going to get into why I had issues with him in the past with him. I have talked about them to death and my stance hasn't changed. I am glad he finally figured out what he needed to do to be successful because it was all HIM that had to do things to change what he was doing and he finally decided he needed to do it. I wish that realization happened years ago, it didn't but I am glad it did.
I am still keeping my expectations low for him. My hope is that he can be an effective 3rd liner. It's early but so far it sure looks like he can at least be that which is great. If he can be more than that, that to me is like found money and would be potentially game changing for the Oilers. Fingers crossed he keeps playing well.
