Ok so a loss tonight will really kickstart the annual meltdown only 4 games in.

They say in a normal season that if you're out at the end of Nov, your chances to make it are minuscule. That's ~28 games into the season.
We're losing 26 games of the year with the shortened season. So game 4 is like game 30.
I think this all checks out to allow a full freakout with a loss tonight :)

My calculator says game 19 is the new game 28. nothing to worry about here.

Definitely an optimistic way to look at it. By % of games in the season left, rather than the actual amount of remaining games to try to make up ground.
Suppose you can say you need that first ~33% of the year to get a solid idea that a team is bad. But...do we really need that? :P
