Well, you got to admin they weren't completely out of it all season, they amazingly teetered between redeamtion and nose-dive since January so that was entertaining but I think the off ice issues were the most interesting thing about the team.
There were plenty of teams the Oilers had to beat but their give a crap-o-meter was at a low, and that's just not acceptable. They got an aging coach who can take maybe 2 minutes of ice time before having to bark out coaching instructions from the bench.. it was just like Pat Quinn but with a slightly younger coach.
Now ride out the last week and then 6 months of no Oilers hockey. Will I renew next season? Your guess is as good as mine.

The fact that the Oil weren’t mathematically eliminated long before now speaks far more to just how weak the Western Conference is. This of course makes the failure of the Oil just that much harder to swallow.
