Found this from a poster on Lowtides site.. (Pretendergast)
https://streamja.com/9EPz3
Shows the Flames targeting Draisatl's ankle with slashes, looks like an actual team strategy.. I counted 5 slashes at his ankle.. makes one wonder whether Lucic running Smith was premeditated..

Lindholm actually bending over reaching to make extra slashes. Nasty stuff. Zero doubt Sutter is putting this on the game plan. Pulling Marky before taking a run at Smith was a good move too.

Don't let the innocent looking droopy face fool you, Sutter is no stranger to dirty tactics :)

Apparently that clip has made its way to NHL DOPS per Seravelli.

#NHL is aware of this clip and the apparent targeting of #LetsGoOilers Leon Draisaitl’s ankle. Safe to say Player Safety / Hockey Ops / Officiating Depts are in communication and will keep an eye out for the same in Game 4 and beyond.

“It’s Playoffs”

Sure. If a guy has the puck I expect there will be a heavier dose of abuse. But Drai won the draw and they followed it up by hacking him when the puck was nowhere near him.

Woodcroft addressing Spector's constant panic over how many games Smith is playing in a row, "It's not like he played 63 games in the regular season". 63 is how many Marky played :)

Just Spectors panic? What about the bulk of the fan base.

As long as they don’t question Woodcroft about Archibald then the fanbase can remain unified!

Specifically about how many games in a row Smith was playing? I think Spector may have been going solo trying to create that narrative.

He’s just another plug in Oilers media

He’s a plug, but the theory that Smith can’t play every game is well founded because he gets tired and is injury prone. The difference right now is no back to backs. Plus he’s a battler

Was pretty obvious DoPS doesn’t have an eye on the flames after the Tkachuk classic reverse hit and elbow to Kulak’s head in game 1
