Shows the Flames targeting Draisatl's ankle with slashes, looks like an actual team strategy.. I counted 5 slashes at his ankle.. makes one wonder whether Lucic running Smith was premeditated..

Lindholm actually bending over reaching to make extra slashes. Nasty stuff. Zero doubt Sutter is putting this on the game plan. Pulling Marky before taking a run at Smith was a good move too.
Don't let the innocent looking droopy face fool you, Sutter is no stranger to dirty tactics :)

Sure. If a guy has the puck I expect there will be a heavier dose of abuse. But Drai won the draw and they followed it up by hacking him when the puck was nowhere near him.

He’s a plug, but the theory that Smith can’t play every game is well founded because he gets tired and is injury prone. The difference right now is no back to backs. Plus he’s a battler
