Barrie to me doesn't make sense on the surface, as we have a cheaper better barrie in Bouchard on the team. But, I'll see how it all falls in place. On the other hand, Ceci will be a terrible signing even if he pays the Oilers to play. Amazing how he keeps getting work in NHL.

After losing Larsson, this is probably the best option. Hope the number doesn't freak us out!

Rishaug reporting 3 yr 4.5M deal for Barrie. I like that deal since I think he will still be worth that for the whole contract, and if Bouchard emerges this season then that contract is very tradable. I am a fan of not losing players for nothing.

That would be awesome (and the first win of the summer). He always seemed to like Edmonton, I wonder if its more of a comfort signing than a maximize my value signing.

That is surprisingly cheap. Hometown discount even if that's not home.

Wow. Short term and relatively low cap hit!
"[It was] really cool to throw on the Oilers gear, the gear that I want to play the rest of my life wearing. It was pretty cool to put it on. With all the history, it was a lot of fun." - Connor McDavid, July 1, 2015
