Apparently Colin Campbell presented to GMs that they're going to start calling more crosschecks...that must not be in effect yet. Why does there even need to be a presentation. Just call the penalties. It's in the rule book.

I read on twitter, today I think(?), that Campbell and the refs held some meetings and discussed what cross checks they're going to ‘tighten up’ calling. Or something.
So maybe tighten up meant let them play?

As exciting as they’ve been to watch, these two games are an officiating disgrace. And as I say that, McDavid and Drai each get mauled with no call, 3 seconds apart. SMH.

I love Louie and I will take him 10 times outta 10 over Remenda. But I don't think he has the national level shine that Ferraro had. I think he's at his career arc being a regional commentator. But maybe he'll prove me wrong tho.

I don't know about that. Louie is the perfect level of homer for a regional broadcaster IMO. Quite often he takes the Oilers side, that's twice now he has called out Perry for being a diver.
If anything I think he has a bias against the Eastern teams.

I pride myself on not being one that constantly complains about refs but my god he is getting away with it every shift.
I love Weber when he is playing for Team Canada but a big part of the myth of him being a dominant player is his getting away with cross checking, roughing and interference.

Yeah that one LD was right below the neck, you can cripple a guy with that, then they miss the clear head shot by Suzuki on Archibald.. gave him the stick right in the head.. somehow the TWO striped bozos decide not to call it.. Archibald out of the game.. missing 2 forwards now.
Getting sloppy in their own end..
