Preseason precursor, but Yamamoto and 97 are showing sick chemistry.

Been fun watching McDavid hilariously pass up on all his shooting chances in the preseason so far. Seems the only goals he is willing to score are the tuck in behind the sprawling goalie ones. Hopefully there is a new McDavid he is hiding that will be shooting a lot more in the regular season.

2 Cups

'moto has done well this camp and has shown that he wants to be here as he's doing everything possible to change the coaches mind.

The NHL is a grind, and Yamamoto would get lost in the shuffle as the season drags on, with rookies like Puljujarvi and Draisaitl before him. Keeping up here would be detrimental to his development, a distraction to the team and doesn't benefit anyone.

Back to junior my young friend, get hungrier, mostly get bigger.

The Oilers should keep him for 9 reg season games and then see ya son.

The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.

Generally Disappointed.

But..if he scores 7 points in those 9 games, what do you do? :)

Really, the ultimate solution is that you sign Jagr and you sent Pulju to the AHL and Yamamoto to junior. Problem solved. There isn't a spot for them without putting other guys on waivers, sorry guys! But, instead, we have a situation now with a wide open hole at RW that a 150lb skilled kiddo has a chance to competently fill, and we get a year of screaming in terror every time he is near a 210+lb dman.

Think we have around 5M (taking off McDavid's bonus and some other potential bonuses) of cap space if we can ensure ourselves Pulju can't hit his schedule B bonuses. Doubt he has any shot even if he played every game, but sending him to the AHL for 10-20 games would 100% guarantee it. Pretty sure that is enough to get some Jagr, if he's willing to come.

No Cups

This team is very slow outside of 97. They need more speed on the wings. Teams with pace throughout the line up or a mobile defence will give them lots of trouble.
