You know a sense of urgency from time to time from Schultz would be really nice.

Twice on the pp trying to hold the line. Then deep in his end almost gives a goal away.

Not to mention helping to screen our goalie nicely on their goal. Dude plays straight up dopey at times.

They are not intimidating them.

But they are not playing like push overs. Very encouraging. That kind of play and possibly gutting out a win tonight against the Kings would be huge for their growth as a young team.

What this thing this Bachman guy is doing? Is that called solid goaltending? I haven't seen this in a while in these jersey colours.

Labarbera and Dubnyk probably thinking the same thing right now.

MacT on the phone with Nelson, soon to send flowers, fruit basket, wine to apologize for his next GM move.

"Bachman, buy a house in Edmonton."

No, he should apologize when he sends Labarbera to Oklahoma City. I can imagine Nelson cursing MacT out when that happens.

Ference taking a lot of damage tonight. Interesting having a Captain that mixes it up with players and doesn't back down. Been a while since we had a captain that got in peoples faces (Horcoff didn't at all) and didn't do stuff like injure his shoulder trying to slap someone (Moreau).

Kings back to taking runs at guys. They stopped because they were down. Back to even game and it's time to try to take heads off again.

Pretty clear that Labarbera is done in Edmonton when Dubnyk is healthy.

Kings smell blood. They're all over us. Looks like we just need to hope we can survive to OT.

Woah, then the kings start to turtle with 2 mins to go and we are all over them, hehe.

It's fun to watch a reflex goalie as opposed to...um... Big guys who don't move much.

Um I'm going to take the stance it's one game. To place your bets on one game. Danis was pretty good in that game we barely won (Avalanche??) where Dubie went out with a neck injury.

Sorry sounds like Bachman is playing unreal tonight, but tune in tomorrow after it strikes midnight and Bachman turns into a orange pylon and the village eats him for lunch.

If he keeps this up after 10 games, then we can talk about new #1.

Bachman has stolen a point for us. Flat out stolen!

On the other hand, this feels like last years' game where the refs were trying to screw the Oilers out of the game by giving LA the benefit of the doubt on every call. Then Yak scored to win it for the 2-1 victory.

Hoping history repeats itself.

Jordan Eberle on his goal scoring: "A lot of guys joke that I have a muffin. Well, it's an accurate muffin, and that's all that counts."

I just posted after the Phoenix loss what a strange experience it is flipping around Centre Ice and watching other goalies do what Bachman did. Was really weird in the third period not cringing as every King wound up for a point shot. Was also weird how many shots Bachman swallowed up. You know when you fake toss something to a dog? I'm so conditioned to Oiler goaltending a few times I almost gave myself whiplash looking for rebounds that weren't there.

I know it's only one game but at the very least I feel better knowing we have somebody who'll challenge Dubie and Labarbarella.
