So there's a video floating around this morning of an inebriated McDavid holding hands with some brunette. Kassian and Nurse may be in the video as well, but it's hard to tell.

There's a lot of TMZ-level accusations accompanying it, but honestly, it's drunk people walking down the street from that video.

I absolutely hate that someone felt that this was a good thing to record and share. I hope it wasn't in Edmonton that this was filmed, and I hope there aren't a lot of Edmontonians sharing the video or jumping on with the online mocking that we're seeing today. Twitter is a cesspool. This stuff can impact real people's lives. Not what he needs, I'm sure, no matter what actually is happening.

To be honest, I was a little taken back at first, but then I took a moment. Most people need to get off of their high horse. Athletes should not be someone's role model. This is mostly troll fodder.

For those who want to get caught up in this.

1. What are the facts? Who is this person? What is their relationship? Who knows the status of his relationship?
2. There is no real evidence of anything being done wrong here.
3. Who cares...he is human and most of us make mistakes and his mistake really only effects HIS relationship.
4. If he was stepping out and being a d-bag, I have cheered for way worse people (as recently as this playoff run).
5. I watch these guys for the what they do on the ice. I have seen some pretty incriminating Gretzky photos/stories and I still love Wayne'r, even if sometimes thinks with his weaner.

Meh...move on to winning the Cup.

I think it still would be douchebaggery to film and post it if there was videos of him making out with this girl, but that's not even what's happening in this clip. She's just leading him along.

It's a bad look. If this were 1984 this would be a funny rumor people shared in bars and basements, but it's the other 1984 so we all get to know and publicly comment. Remember the stuff we would here about players in the 90s and, oh god, the 80s? There is chance this is a big fat nothing, but... it's a bad look. Fortunately his personal life isn't much of a concern for me, so I don't really care.

I blame his buddies / handlers / muscle. They have to know who he is, what's happening, what's been consumed, and manage the situation better.

Both cars in the video have front license plates. Not mandatory in Alberta.
