Just emphasizing the importance of good goaltending. Bobrovsky has made some huge saves.
Oil just need to keep coming in waves. Florida will break and when they do, Edmonton needs to keep pouring it on.

Evan Bouchard just can't throw a puck in front of his own net like that, damn near got a 1st assist on a Fla goal. That's the shat the Oilers need to quit giving up.

Well, the Oilers are working harder thru 11.5 minutes. Is it sustainable?

Why don't other teams let us have all the time in the world to snipe top corner 10ft out from goalies? Not fair.

How often do we get wide open shooting opportunities like that? And how many guys on this team could make that shot?
Thinking 0 and 2.

Just a comment on the PP. When it was working, McD would get the puck deep in the right corner and then carry it right to left around the perimeter. He could shoot or pass as he saw fit. That isn't happening anymore. Now it seems he gets the puck while stationary on the left side. And then he's on his weak side if he wanted to go left to right to set something up. It's not as effective.
And still, TIPPETT refuses to use 75 on the 1st PP... considering he's coaching for his life, you would think he would see Barrie isn't/hasn't gotten the job done. 75 is the future, maybe TIPPETT doesn't want to be part of it.

We can't hit an empty net and our grade A chances hit the tender in the crest. They hit the corners with their grade A chances. We make goalies look good. And when we do shoot for the corners we make companies money by showing off their advertising on the boards two feet wide and behind the net.

Have to say you're right, only snipers we really have are McD and LD.. and its usually McD having to create the scoring chances for the plugs, which as you said usually either hit the logo or miss the net.
That's why I'd like to see E. Kane at least for this year, show what McD can do with someone that can actually finish the Grade A setups he puts on a platter, shift after frustrating shift.

Great 1st period, dominated the play in on the puck, everyone battling and skating hard..
17 shots and nobody could put a freaking puck in the net.. same old.
So 2nd period you're thinking hey that's ok, they'll bring more of the same effort, and they'll score.. But.. they stopped.. reverted back to their base effort level.
And Koskinen isn't going to save any games for them, he's a $4M shooter tutor.
Well at least you know what the problem is, the effort level, multiply that 1st period x 3 and you likely get a win 9 out of 10..

No point trading. We will lose the trade. Won't be enough to get us to the next level. We need every prospect we have hoping one can make a difference next year. Plus we will prob have another high pick this year. F$%# Sorry the frustration is getting me.

Oh man, a goalie trade would be a disaster for sure. Not only would we pay out the nose, but it likely would barely make the team better. Just too many flaws with this roster still, as much as we wish the only issue was goaltending.
Wonder where Holland is right now. Probably juggling between new goalie, or another guy that "knows how to win".

I'm sure McDavid and Drai don't want to hear this but we are better off keeping our prospects and pics. And if I'm the GM I'm already finding out their interest in being Oilers for life. Cause if not I'd start considering the haul we could get. Sad this is even a thought.

And we let a guy just walk in all alone right after we're scored on! lol. Team that gets scored on is supposed to be the one getting awesome chances right after a goal, as we know well as Oilers fans when we watch our team sag after every goal we score.

stupid Huberdeau. You're supposed to let Drai have 2 seconds to snipe top corner. It's like the rest of the league is playing jerk rules.
