Drew sticking it to Uncle Barry again. 1-0.

No "times" for Oiler fans yet.

I'm surprised Buffalo isn't pressuring the Oilers D more than they are.

It's going to be tough to get anything past Miller tonight I think.

Strangely having Hemsky back isn't giving me a lot of confidence. Someone needs to show 83 where the net is and encourage him to get the puck in that direction. How often have we seen Hemsky with one of his cutie-pie little drop passes when an Edmonton D is activating (like happened in the first), and an odd-man rush going the other way, or at very least, a killed play?

The genius Pierre McGuire calls Visnovsky a "risk-reward" player? He had a tough game last night, but I wouldn't say there's a lot of risk in Visnovsky's game. I wouldn't mind seeing a puck bounce of McGuire's forehead tonight.

I'm actually getting frustrated watching hemsky play of late. to many of the fancy drop passes and he needs to learn how to shoot it as soon as he gets in.

Anyone else feel like there's about 10 Sabres players out there to our 6?
Do the Oil ever actually practice getting the puck out of their own zone when the D are pressured?! I swear that's going to give me sooo many grey hairs if we don't clean that up!!

Moreau's been guilty of lazy cutesy passes tonight too! and he's too slow and untalented to pull it off!! Almost cost us twice tonight by my count!! I really think the plethora of problems with this teams starts with him as captain!!

I figured it had something to do with Renney's (being a) monster.

Then I'll just regress, because I feel I've made myself perfectly redundant.

Again tonight. They refuse to put the puck on net during the PP.

That puck entered the slot only once the entire powerplay. And most the powerplay was in Buffalos end.

That was some snake that bit Sully.

Miller is going to be nearly impossible to beat. The Oilers are actually playing a decent 2nd period, but this has got to be disheartening. I still find it frustrating how we have very little ability to sustain offense like other teams do on us.

Sully doesn't miss that time. A bullet to make it 2-1

Somewhat optimistic times....

Better than a goose egg!

Buffalo's 2nd was fairly weak by Khabibulin. No screen, no deflection I don't think.

Between Vanek's dive earlier and his lazy penalty in the 3rd - not sure I'd actually want him - especially for 4 1st round picks!!

The guy was sorry. But he made a dumb decision.

He certainly shoved at a vulnerable moment.

Ales Hemsky just frittered away roughly a minute of that PP not even looking at or playing toward the GD net. This guy is an enigma sometimes. Wow.

Costly, costly mistakes prevented at least a point in a VERY winnable game!!!
Frustrating to say the least!!
These are the points that slip away that come back to bite us it the butt come June!!
