lol, what an interesting play to try to skate that puck across the front of our net

A rare mistake by Connor, though if anyone could pull off a dangerous play like that, it would be him....

Think it was the Nuge. He may have got away but think his stick was hit from behind too and it was hopeless after that with the puck leaving him towards the front of the net. Then Petterssen goes down like he weighs 10 lbs.

I can live with it if it gives the team another PP. Roussel should be getting a roughing call out of it.

I’d argue for a double roughing.

I don’t think he could have gotten away from that scrum and to the bench any sooner if he tried.

He would have knocked over kindergarten kids if they were in his way.

Oh Jesse...

And I’m fine with that.

As long as he keeps forechecking and backchecking like he does for that line. He’s getting much better with his anticipation around 97 as well.

Can we just not lose to the Canucks? I hate that team with a real passion. So much more than I dislike Calgary...

Just don't lose to Toronto West. Please.

I can never hate the Dys more than the Flames, because they have less-annoying fans. It's hard to be that cocky when your team has never won a Cup and only made it to the finals 3 times in their entire history.

Woot, they managed to dig themselves out of the hole that Smith dug for them. Also, another nice feed by Drai to set up the goal.

You mean that fan base on the coast that’s notorious for having mouth breathing cavemen wrapping on the glass, while the ushers look the other way? The fan base that lit their city on fire after losing in the Finals?

Canuck fans are the worst.

Hey, I never said that Dys fans were classy, just that I couldn't hate their team more than I despise the Flames and their fanbase. I remember those riots after another choke in the Finals by their team.

Every shift in the first 5 mins of this period has been almost flawless. Keep this up and the game wont be in doubt.

Noticed Nurse on the PP, I believe he started the puck movement that ended in the goal. I like the way he moves with the puck, it helps open up lanes further down the play

Every shift in the first 5 mins of this period has been almost flawless. Keep this up and the game wont be in doubt.

Noticed Nurse on the PP, I believe he started the puck movement that ended in the goal. I like the way he moves with the puck, it helps open up lanes further down the play

If he can keep playing like that, I can live with him staying there ahead of Bouch, though I'd still like to see Evan given more time on the PP. Bouch is the PP QB of the future for this team.

Agreed but I think that spot is a bit of an apprentice role. Especially when the PP is mostly a lethal unit.
If the PP was terrible then you let the kid grow with it but right now I think having Barrie or Nurse, whoever is the hot hand, run the point.

As long as the keep scoring I wont question who is back there!

I dunno, I think a good PP would be the best time to break in a rookie, because there is less pressure on him than if the PP unit were dogcrap. This is what broke Schultz in his time with the Oil before he moved to the Pens, the pressure of being one of the main offensive catalysts despite still being a new player.

I’d be weary that running the blue line might be a bit much for a rookie, but with that being said, Bouchard looks like he has ice in his veins.
