Huge hook on Neal to create that goal.

He lifted Neal’s stick from under.

Quite effectively I might add.

Would ask 4K or Barrie to confirm, but both had their faced stuffed in a bowl of popcorn as it was happening right in front of them.

Once in a while, we truly get to see a FILTHY Connor McJesus play. That goal was one of them. Holy crap.

He clowned their entire PK unit before undressing Andersen for the goal. Freaking beautiful <*kisses own fingertips*>

And one was the best shutdown D of all time that I'm told owns McDavid every single night (Holl).

Did 4K just pull off a nice deflection there for Matthews? He's kinda falling down the charts. Maybe part to do with playing with Barrie.

Ugh, bad time to take a penalty, Drai. The way this Oil PK is playing, the Laffs could be tied before the halfway mark of the period.

Why do our D never care about players that are right in front of our goalie on the PK? No one ever even close to being able to stop a deflection or rebound.

Larsson just defending some air, intentionally skating away from Hyman before the shot.

Does Barrie even shoot? We seem to have zero interest to make Barrie even appear to be a threat to shoot. He's always being given slow passes as close as possible to the blue line.

PP seems designed so the Dman only exist to kill some time and let everyone reset positions.

I'm sure McDrai will still be able to create things out of nothing to keep the PP dangerous. But, might need a little creativity from the coaches this year to get anywhere close to the performance we had last year.

Barrie doesn't move his feet on the point, plus he's just exceptionally slow in general, almost got beat back by Hyman for a loose puck on the PP.. I seem to remember him as being a good puck carrier back in Colorado days.. memory must be false..

I'm pretty sure that was the main strength of his game too. He was their guy driving play all the time. Definitely looks like he's lost a step.

Great clearing attempt by Larsson getting intercepted and nearly ended up in the net off the stick of Marner. What the hell happened to this PK from last year's edition??!

I used to crap on Sheahan all the time last season, so if it turns out that he's the reason the Oil PK was good last year, I should be laughing hysterically. Khaira's play on the PK however good doesn't make up for his play the rest of the time.

I appreciate him more now too since we tried to play Turris in his exact role and Turris failed miserably. Looks like the turris PK experiment may be ending already.

Even overworked goalies stop that second Leaf goal. Can’t fault him on the third Leaf goal though.

He’s not a #1 goalie on a Cup contender. No way.

To be fair, Roy or Hasek in their prime would be hard-pressed to look like legit #1's behind that D.

The main hope for the Oil this game stems from Connor having shown up to play tonight. Keep that godhood coming, McJesus.

Ugh, just watched the replay of that Connor shot- THE POST.

Since I'm taking up the job of Koskinen apologist, I had to watch what happened on that 2nd goal. Marner was actually trying to 1-time the pass back from Matthews. He wasn't trying to pass it back, that was a fluke bounce. Pulju hits Marner's stick just as it's coming down and it bounces straight to Matthews. Koskinen is set for that Marner shot. 4K swings his stick around and turns the Matthews shot into a flopper that perfectly goes in top shelf at the bad angle.

I get that goal against only 2 Mike Smith's out of 10.

If someone were to ask me who the slowest skater on the Oilers was, I would likely say Barrie.

Second period positive: Connor's McJesus special
Second period negative: What else? That Oil D and PK.

I hope Drai really gets going in the 3rd period, because it's going to take him and Connor to get the Oil the win in this one....

Just made a liar out of me on that last rush.

He just looks so slow when retrieving iced pucks in his own end on the PP.

Perhaps it’s just a lack of urgency as he’s possibly conserving energy for a possible rush.

Damn Buffalo. THey better get back to sucking if we suck. Only thing that makes me feel better about us being bad is that Buffalo is too.

Rieder scored for them too. His 3rd of the season.
