Hoglander, hand out the sweets? How many of these does he have locked and loaded to shoehorn into his goal calls? Hopefully not many. Like that guy that called the Yankee games.

How nice, the Oil continue to allow opposing players to score their first NHL goals. Great. icon_rolleyes

Nurse still just passing to the other team with ring arounds instead of trying one of multiple passing options off the boards. Hope he figures that out one day

Great start for Khaira. Gives up a 5 on 5 goal on a puck battle to a guy who's 7 inches shorter and almost 30lbs lighter. Hogland was his man.

Barrie is messing up our PP. Needs to turn his stick over and be a leftie for the constant back and forth with the Nuge. Or maybe we eventually need to try a guy like Yams out there.

Koski is just getting hung out to dry by the Oil's usual sieve-like D. Yep, and to think that there were people who thought that the Oil's D would be set with Barrie arriving (not pointing fingers at anyone here, because most people here know better)....

Larsson and Jones a tidy -3. Larsson the supposed vet defensive dman looks clueless. The forward is battling with the Canucks player so Larsson goes in for the hit and leaves Horvat wide open on the first goal. Then on the Boeser goal, you are in your own zone and he's at the blue line.

Swiss cheese defense.

Not sure why I would have expected any more. No teams let guys not name McDavid on our team be constantly opened like we allow almost anyone on other teams to be. Most teams make you battle like your life depends on it to get open around the net and in the slot.

3 Cups

If Shore clears waivers, I think he takes Khaira's spot. You can't just coast into your own zone and watch your man score like that.

I thought Larsson was awful. Primary on 2 forsake goals against. Was on for 3 against. McD and Nuge were not good. When Kassian is the best on that line, that's a problem. I thought Koskinen was actually decent. He gave up 5 but they were wide open one timers, break aways and uncontested open shots in the slot. I can't fault him on any of the goals.

I thought the Drai Kahun, Yamo line looked pretty good. Kahun had lots of chances. They will come.

Yeah I think it's gonna be on Drai's line again to save the day. McDavid just looks out of sync with Kassian all the time. Kassian will get points by just being around on the top line, but there is not consistent give and take creating plays between those guys. It's McDavid individual efforts and wingers trying to keep up and pick up the trash. Still need to find McDavid a good RW one of these days.

Drai's line on the other hand, lots of passing, lots of winning pucks on the boards, lots of different looks with guys making plays all over the offensive zone.
