Hahaha...
That's true - the Oilers made their big add in the summer. They didn't HAVE to step up at the deadline. There's just no one else who can say they added a Connor Brown to their lineup.

Did Holland even have a deadline day press conference??? I can't find anything indicating he did.
Did he just take off for an early start on the weekend?
