Oilers move into a tie with Flames for 4th in division, but some work needed to pass Central teams to get into an actual playoff spot.

Safe to say 97 is heating up! Since being kept off the scoresheet against Tampa on Nov 18, McDavid has a 7 game point streak where he's put up 4-15-19 to move into the top 10.
Skinner with his 4th .910+ game in his last 5. .943 over his last 5 and a GA of 1.6, all Ws! Certainly at least a little encouraging to see.

Our D has really clamped down & quit giving up all those 10 bell chances that we were giving up multiple times a game early on, which I think is a large part of it.

Nothing to complain about with this one.
McLeod WENT TO THE NET and scored a goal!!! I hope it's clicked in that all he has to do is exactly that with his speed and he will be a force.
Foegele SCORES ON A BREAKAWAY!! It wasn't a highlight goal but they all count the same.
Ekholm looks like he's back. His goal was clearly a designed play.
PK is great.
Skinner looks like whatever funk he was in is long over and appears to be capable of being a solid NHL goalie.
I think the shots against are misleading. The Canes like to spin and fire from anywhere and watching the game, Skinner had to make a few good stops but the majority of them were pretty routine so whatever they are doing defensively, it's working.
I think Coffey needs some credit.

First game I've watched since the Outdoor game, as this was a TNT game down here. Enjoyable to watch them come out and put the game away early.

Keep playing like that and we will be right back in the mix. Only 3 teams in our division >0.500 and the Canucks look like they are running low on luck. Shouldn't be too hard to climb back up this division if the team can keep playing well.

Did anyone notice we have an over PPG dman on a 9 game point streak? Pretty crazy.
Overall for the D play since the coaching change, I'm getting scared I will have to give Coffey credit.
