Philip Broberg and his $863,000 cap hit (plus potential $800,000 performance bonus) has been sent down to Bakersfield.

I would keep him down there for a bit. He's making mistakes that should be basic things. He couldn't even make a routine dump in the other game that resulted in a 3-1 against. He's getting to the point of being unplayable right now.

I believe the team needs to do the demotion if they’re to bring up another forward unless they can put Brown or Janmark on LTIR. We don’t have enough cap space to have extra players.
While Broberg made a mistake last night this is probably more about Brown’s injury than about Broberg’s play.

This is 100% the reason he went down. Curious who they're going to bring up. I suspect they'll go with a more familiar face than Lavoie. Malone or Hamblin would be my guess.
