You'd have to believe the sky's the limit to worry about it falling. That's not negativity, there's just no reason to believe the defense, depth, and goaltending is good enough until they prove they're good enough.

How was the eternal optimism and defending of the management worked out for those that take that side?
I don't think I fall into either Team Chicken Little or Team Pompom but I think the CL's are ahead on the scoreboard.
Listening to the home opener team intro's made me sad when they announced year 9 and 10 for McDavid and Draisaitl respectively. Such a waste so far.

It amuses me that some of those most negative about individual players are the biggest complainers about anyone pointing out issues in the makeup of the team or the team's management.
