Wow what a heads up goal by LD. Man they needed that one late. They can't play this loose on their own side of center and hope to win this series. I don't care of it's a one goal game this is a failure of a first period in the playoffs by the Oilers who are not a team of rookies.

Wow, what a save be LB on McDavid back there. Keep getting pucks on net though. He'll let plenty in. REALLY need to tighten up our D though - way too easy for Vegas on their zone entries.

Damn, this is the NHL playoffs I'm watching isn't it? What kind of weak sauce lazy pass was that by Hyman leading to a 2 on 1? Kind of crap you expect in practice when guys are just screwin around

On the bright side, it seems that Woody has seen what us fans have seen too. Not much ice time for #73 so far this period.

I'm honestly curious how our wingers still don't know to get near the boards when our D are looking to shoot a puck up along them. Who is doing the wrong thing? Are the D supposed to pass it to a player 15 ft off the boards that's just standing there stationary? Or should the wingers be closer to the boards to get the pass along? Either way, it usually ends up with the D pass just going to a stationary opposing player.

Watch how Seattle breaks pucks out. Their wingers actually go to the area that the D play the puck to, like they know what their D are going to do instinctively, and they have very fast moves out of their zone. Many years now we have not really figured out how to get our wingers and D on the same page.

It's like they've never played Vegas before for and haven't watched video or even talked about how Vegas plays and what it will take defensively. I guess that prep goes to game 3 back in Edmonton.

I wish he would shoot on the PP. Gotta be a threat to shoot, all they're showing is the LD one timer.

And we're only down by one still, with their best defenceman having just taken a totally undisciplined penalty at the end of the period. Got to make him pay for it and then turn things around on that.

My father-in-law gets so upset with them for not shooting - with this PP I figure I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Hmmm, McDavid showboating a little too much. Historically good PP does not need attempted 1 on 4 dangling and hope passing.
