I don't know why we weren't a little more aggressive in going and getting the puck back there ahead of the Ekholm call. It just seemed like a recipe to eventually take a penalty.
I do think the referee reacted to the head snap from Kopitar. You can almost hear McLellan at the Kings practice - "Take the fall, act hurt, draw a penalty!"

The worse thing about those fake calls on Edm is that now they don't know what a real penalty is.. before this game they were the ones carrying the physical play.. now they'll be hesitant to go 100%..
