The Pens are 1 point out of the 2nd wild card spot (4 out of WC1) but hold 4 games in hand on Florida and 5 on the Islanders. Meanwhile they're only up 3 points and 3 positions up on Buffalo who has a game in hand on the Pens. The eastern schedule race is crazy this year, which is a nice change from what happened last year.
