How about trying for a millisecond to find the free puck? Seem to always put in extra effort in our end

Yes, a 3 whack rule.

He got it right, just a question of who/what for. And it wasn’t for fair play.

Well, the looked better the last 10 minutes than the previous 70. PP managed some control. Scored two goals but still down 2-1.

Well - I’m really going to bed now. Coffee and periods 2 and 3 in the morning. LFG!!!!

It's marginally better than it was the other night. Not that we will do anything with it, but at least we'll probably see the 1st unit out for the duration of the PP. Swapping it around mid penalty isn't what we do anyway, cept in the play-off's.

We’re playing better, so now the refs have joined team Flames to make sure we don’t get a fair shake.

Lol - you must have done the smart thing and erase game 1 from your memory. Good plan.

Marginally better? The PP tonight is light years better than Wednesday. We attempted 2 shots with 8 minutes of PP time Wednesday, and not very good ones at that. And we had like 30 seconds of zone time. No - it’s much more than marginally better tonight.

Agreed entirely on this. There are going to be people saying 1 for 6 isn’t good enough - but the powerplay has looked dangerous consistently tonight so I’m not worried. We tweaked and it has worked. We are going to get a bunch of PPGs yet this series.

Just pure ref judgement call I think. Some combo of how much it affected the play, player intent, game management and ref mood. I've seen them call a penalty for totally innocent plays like that.

I always thought that was like a puck over the glass thing. Objectively a penalty. I’ll have to go look that up tomorrow. I don’t recall seeing that before.

The illegal substitution rule gives the refs the out if they aren't in the mood for the too many men penalty. Or is to premature substitution? lol. I forget. But whatever it is, it kills the play but doesn't result in a penalty.

All the stuff about the one GA aside, Bouchard has been pretty good tonight. Not great but for a guy with ~100 games under his belt he is holding his own against a solid Flames attack.

Is it just me or is LD skating better than expected? Still can't rag the puck or really protect it that well when he's static, but he moves well through the neutral zone.

Just what early again but better overall thru 2. Duncan Keith, maybe play that guy up... he'll go tire fire and kill you in his own zone but still has all those instincts offensively.

Should be up a couple this game, and that too many men was a brutal error to play that puck by Nuge, but the Oilers should feel decent. This game is available, win the 3rd and put some negativity on some of the more fragile Flames.

Decent in straight lines. No agility at all though. I think he is letting his legs go out and dropping to his knees easily too when he's checked to avoid any twisting of his ankles too. It's rough.

29? Yeah... not looking totally useless this game. If he improves on this tract for next game... Look OUT.

...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).
