Well, that didn't take long. icon_dead

Good screen by Nurse on his own goalie there. He had the best seat in the house on that shot....

It wasn't just Koski- Nurse should have tried to take the body instead of sitting back like an idiot and watching the guy shoot.

Nurse was defending the guy who dropped the puck to Lindholm. If he runs up to Lindholm, he passes back to that guy for a free goal. Koski needs to stop a clean 20 foot shot.

Yeah that chance was easily eliminated if RNH actually put in a couple more strides (ie effort) instead of GLIDING into the zone and WATCHING the goal get scored.

Yeah that chance was easily eliminated if RNH actually put in a couple more strides (ie effort) instead of GLIDING into the zone and WATCHING the goal get scored.

Nurse was at least equally culpable on the goal- he could have just tried a fricking stick check on the shooter instead of falling back. Do not let your opponent get a clear shot on net- that is basic hockey defence 101, but apparently it was too hard for Darnell on that play.

Don't agree, IMHO RNH was in the frame, stopped skating, could have checked the guy with a minimum of focus, more easily than Nurse could have.

One of the worst things about the NHL is the officiating. Not necessarily the bad calls though there are a lot of those, but the “balance” that they shoehorn into every game.

If a team has committed 5 straight penalties, you should be calling the 6th, not ignoring the next 5 and making one up against the other team.

Agreed. 9 times out of 10 that’s a holding call.

Unless it’s on 97 of course, as skill gets penalized in this league.

If a broadcast team ever embodied how much their team sucked, it’s this one.

You don’t need to be a post pro hockey player or former Gold medal winner to be a good colour person on a broadcast.

This broadcast is a prime example. SN is trying to tick too many boxes tonight. Sue me, but it’s the truth.

Cassie is the commentator equivalent of POHO Lowe.

So painful to listen to, especially when she's calling her husbands team.

- Lowe, 2013

"Next year I would forecast as another developmental year"

She has an astute perception of the obvious.

And her broadcasting skills are as smooth as driving on washboard.
