This one is not going to be pretty. If they come away without a major injury, I'll be happy. LA is scary to play against.

Just how long before we have dug ourselves a hole that is impossible to climb out of? That's an honest question. Will MacT make the moves needed to prevent us from getting that low before it's too late? How long until Yakupov spends some well-earned time in OKC (re)learning how to play with AND without the puck? So many questions, none of which will be answered in the jail-time-like pounding we are about to receive from the kings.

5 Cups and counting.

I know it's possible to come back from a start like this and maybe the Oilers will, but I don't see it happening. I feel like we've already dug ourselves another lost season.

That hole's already been dug IF you're talking playoffs (which I didn't think we'd make this year, but contend).

Climbing out of the hole to respectability had better start soon! they keep saying the same thing in post game interviews, that "We're doing some good things". Well, Time to put all those good things together!!

Even if it all comes together today, against LA it may still not be enough to win.

Keep your heads up, boys.

(Especially when Dustin Brown's on the ice.)

I fully expect a throttling, both physically and on the scoreboard. Which of course means we'll probably not only win but look good doing it.

Bachman to start tonight. Dubnyk with minor ankle injury.

Lander on wing in place of Pitlick.

Hanzel has hearing for head shot on Petry.

Poor OKC Barons. Their depth is getting destroyed.

The Oilers now have on the roster their goalie, their captain Lander, Ryan Hamilton (injured), Ryan Jones, Ben Eager, and Pitlick. Also their star last year in Arcobello looks to be sticking around. It's still October!

This one is going to get ugly. I can see the Kings scoring upwards of seven on us. Poor defence, terrible special teams, this team has taken a major step backwards.

McDavid just might surpass Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr and heck even Elvis!

I understand that being optimistic is grounds to get banned on this forum, but I like how the Oilers have played the last few games.

They dictated the pace vs Washington but ran into a hot goalie.

The Coyotes scored 2 or 3 fluky goals. It's hard to combat that.

I think they play a solid game tonight and their luck turns.

I think we play solid but lose. Over all we are better on the road than at home.

With the season getting close to being 15% done.....I am going on a limb to say a 25+ finish without a major trade soon. MacT did great with Perron but we need a few of those, not one. And we need a very solid D man and a reliable goalie. We have a ways to go....and I don't mean I want to wait for high draft picks to be developed for the 2025 cup run either.

So this is what hope feels like?

I'll start out with formalities. I've never posted before because someone has always conveyed my POV (usually crusader 3.14159). All I know right now is that the team I love and cheer for unconditionally has sucked since I can remember (1996. The 06 cup run was lucky. It was a blast to be part of but I hope everyone here sees that it was lucky. We came in 8th and our "top" players played lights out)

I wish I knew what it would take to turn the team around. Almost everyone here could take the team to the finals every years if they were manager by the comments they leave. The reality is that it's not just a trade that will fix everything. This team has F___ing holes everywhere. I'm straight up venting cause I don't know the solution is.

One thing I do want to leave is that DD will play better. He will never win a Vezina but he is good enough to take a team to the finals. Anyone who actually bought into Mac T's talking this past summer should look at the SV%. Bean made enough saves the defense just didn't help him out.
