First few games this season I did not like the look of Eberle. But lately I have found him to be one of, if not our best forward.

Nursing hip injury Eberle out on the PK is a bit of a head-scratcher... He did good, but still an odd decision.

We're letting Dubs get peppered again.

Already being outplayed.

I think I hate the Canadians as much as I hate the Canucks. Some of the worst fans ever. I hate losing to this team so much. I'll take a TO fan over these goofs.

Really??! I'm the complete opposite. I too hate the Canucks but I hate Toronto at about the same level. I don't mind Montreal....in fact I always cheer for them when they play Toronto. Probably because I live where I live.

Terrible effort again from everyone. I knew there wouldnt be any fire to the Oilers game yet again. This is going to be another long season if they cant find any life outside the top six.

Other Canadian team's fans ranked, from best to worst:

1. Toronto
2. Montreal
3. Calgary
4. Vancouver.

Not ranked for reasons of irrelevance: Atlanta, Ottawa.

Then I'll just regress, because I feel I've made myself perfectly redundant.

Their fans have just ruined them for me. Their whole look at all the cups we have won when the league only had 6 teams in it, and 2 playoffs per year, not to mention the whole having the rights to all French born players for awhile, gets old really fast. It's about as annoying as "we are the best team ever even though we have never won a cup" Canucks fans

I could see you annoyance with leafs fans though, due to living situations. I had the same when I lived in Vancoucer.

Definately Canucks fans are the worst. Even here they get very annoying and they're not even from Vancouver. As far as Toronto is concerned, it's the whole media thing for me, not so much the fans. I'll say this for leaf fans- they are loyal, blind loyalty, but loyal. It's getting to the point where the same could be said about us. But I digress- the media (CBC/ TSN/ centre of the universe mentality) is the worst to deal with.

Funny how I'm not even talking about the game....so depressing.

Leafs fans are like Cubs fans...loving an eternal loser. Their last cup will be 67 when you had a 1/3 chance of making the cup finals.

So this is what hope feels like?

So...in the "analysis" of that Gazdic penalty, shouldn't Debrusk or Quinn have noticed or mentioned that Eberle pointlessly touched the puck after the Habs had touched it with a high stick and the ref had his arm up?

The analysis should have been how many Oilers couldn't clear the zone with puck when they had ample time...it started with Yak, then RNH and I'm sure Eberle turned it over a few times too.

Yeah, the whole sequence was a tire fire. Unless I saw it wrong though, if Eberle just leaves the puck for the Habs to touch, the play gets blown dead.

We've been our own worst enemies from the start tonight. Very disappointing. Just too many dumb decisions with and without the puck. Eakins needs to retire Perron's post-win Canadian Forces jacket in favor of dunce caps.

Yak reminds me of the Tasmanian Devil right now. But not in a good way.

Ugh, Jones, you're killing your career, man. You had a hard enough time getting back to the big team, and plays like that are just going to get you sent right back down. Christ, the Oil's defensive play is just horrid right now.

That goal is all on Jones, but watching the replay I have to wonder what the heck J. Schultz was doing. Looks like he is heading to the bench prior to the puck leaving the zone.

Not a chance.

The only sense of triumph generated from Oilers related activities this year is likely to be that bet and that bet alone.

From Michael Parkatti: MTL leads Corsi 26-14 (EDM CF% of 35.0%). RNH/Eberle +1/-13. +1/-9 for Yak. Smid +1/-7. Arco +10/-4, Perron/Belov +11/-7.

Yikes. Arco, Perron and Belov keep their heads above water at least.
