On Center Ice they quickly switched to the NESN feed. I gotta admit, though, i was pleasently surprised by the lack of audio. I'm supposed to be working on an assignment for a course I'm doing.

Hey, I see someone dressed up as Pisani for Halloween. Scary!

Brilliant. No NESN option in Edmonton like Hibernia got. I synched myself up during the first commercial break. Didn't think of another good use of the PVR!

Thanks for the 630Ched online audio tip as I have synched my PVR as well.

As for the rest of you, audio troubles are temporary...temporary...imagine what DeBrusk and Quinn are doing now...

I was walking down the street with a friend, and he said, "I hear music." As if there was any other way you can take it in. That's how I receive it too. You're not special.

Me too, and I got it pretty bang on, which is nice.

Pisani is sucking wind, and will likely be praying for death by the end of the game, but he really is good at the little things. We are getting out of our end more fluidly so far.

Gagner did a nice job against Chara at the end there, but you can tell he doesn't like getting too close to him when the puck is free. He did make a couple of nice interceptions though. The kids in general looked better this time. Hope it continues.

Peckham had a good period I thought. I am also liking Chorney.

I'm sticking with Rod and Bob for commentary. I don't mind Rod's quick and honest editorials during his play by play.

Recent ones that made me chuckle

"The Oilers are play just awful right now" while we were hemmed in our zone watching shots go by.

"Brutal play" on Horcoff whiffing the puck into the offensive zone, pretty much just giving it back to them.

It sucks for me with no PVR... An HD game isn't so good without sound.
I can't believe they will go at least 1 period without solving their audio issues... Terrible.

not comin' outta some media hacks mouth.

Quinn wanted checkin'... got it. So did BOS.

Quinn wanted a decent forecheck? Check. So did BOS.

Long time till the first whistle... good intensity. I like the way the refs are lettin' 'em play. JFJ got away with one... but then someone nailed him hard from behind too.

the game's gotta quick tempo so Pisani struggled a bit but didn't look awful by any means.

I don't even know whether he had the puck on his stick for more than five seconds.

Double hero points for him if he can play a part in the Oilers scoring in this upcoming 3rd period.

I'm betting he gets his chances.

That or some shoddy checking in front of Khabibulin... like the last few seconds.

I feel like I'm watching a game from the the trap era. I think the referees are going back and letting things go like interference. What the heck?

Finally, we get a powerplay. THe reffing has been suspect at best tonight.
I have liked however how Chorney and Gilbert are moving the puck in the offensive zone.

Once again, the Oilrs refuse to shoot the puck. As soon as they get in the zone, they seem worried about who to pass to and end up losing it. Put the puck on net, and go hard for the rebound...see what happens....man this gets frustrating game after game.

It continues to amaze me how every team in the NHL seems to out-forecheck the Oilers. Regardless of player of coaching changes, teams have such an easy time breaking out against us, and we have a terrible time breaking out against them.

No sustained pressure, low-percentage passes, will ultimately equal the 3rd shutout of the Oil in 4 games. Not good.
