As of right now, he's totally living up to his contract IMO (ignoring last year's disaster).

I was about to comment on this exact thing. 2 missed calls that should have put us on the PP within about 15 seconds, then Cogliano trips Oduya and of course they call it. Pretty brutal.

Pretty hard to do a kicking motion with only one skate on the ice. Glad they didn't spend too long on that one.

And good to see Visnovsky get an assist as well. He needs to get going offensively for us to succeed.

Great goal by Hemsky and that is what I like to see more on the pp. Just because you have the pp doesn't mean you have to skate into the other teams zone, stop, wait for everyone to catch up and then cycle the puck for 30 seconds.

Great goal by Hemsky and fantastic goaltending, the Oil need to keep the pressure on in the 3rd.

- They have played a decent game and need to keep it up for another 20 mins.
- JDD has played good enough for us to win. That's all we ask for from our goalie.
- We were outshot 19-11 in the 2nd. And NJ is coming back in the faceoff circle. It's almost even after 2.

I couldn't be any happier with the Oil up 2-0 right now.... oh wait! The Flamers are down 5-1 in the 3rd to the Hawks... even better!!!!!!!!!!
JDD's looked solid, and you gotta love Souray standing up for himself and dropping the mitts with a pretty tough custy in David Clarkson.

I have liked our first 40, a decent effort for sure. These new lines seem balanced and I like the feel of the 4 lines likes we had at the end of last season.
Souray seriously is a stud. He scores, he has payed great D, and he is a fierce fighter. The only guy that seems a little less than good is Cole.
If we get a good third out of these guys Imay declare most consistent effort so far.
I like JDD too.

Is it official enough to say this is Hesmky's breakout year? I think so. We've never witnissed anything like this during his career. 5 goals, 4 games for Ales "SHOOT THE PUCK" Hemsky!

JDD is a big goalie that covers alot of the net. A few of the pucks seemed to hit him without him seeing it but whatever - he is keeping it out of the net.
Pouliot seems to be fighting the puck. Not really sure what he is bringing to the lineup at this time. Might be time to see what Brule is about.

Thank goodness. I hope there is actually nothing wrong and he isnt just playing through the pain because he could do big time damage if he is.
