What in the heck is Patrick Thoresen doing on the first powerplay unit? Seriously?

Do they WANT to be 30th in the league in PP%?

I dunno. When I saw Thoreson when I was home for a few days vs. Dallas, he looked like he has the skills to be a half-board guy on the PP...but I don't know if he could consistently do it.

Regardless, I would like to see guys who've shown some offensive skills being switched in when other guys are injured or not producing. Guys like Sanderson, Thoreson, Moreau, Pisani...I have no problem with those guys taking a few shifts on the top lines when all else is sucking.

Do you really want to roll that kinda line-up out when we get a PP with 5 left in the 3rd, and the game hanging in the balance?

Didn't feel like shelling out the cash for PPV but is the game really as lopsided as the shot totals say so?

Principe said Gagner was hanging out with him instead of being on the ice.

Could you imagine how motivated players would be if they had to do dry run interviews with Gene over and over again when they don't dress?

Did I mention that I have a totally non-sexual man-crush on Tom Gilbert? Well I do.

1-1. Might have been tipped by Reasoner, but methinks it went off the St. Louis d-man.

Nice goalie switch Murray! HAHAHAHA!

Yeah, it's gonna cost us now.

Third fight of the night now, Stortini chuckin' em with DJ King. Zach hanging in there not badly.....damn this is a long one.

30 seconds or so before that, Eric Brewer looked about 100 pounds lighter than he actually is - Penner just LEVELLED him.

What's with this physical play? Who are these guys and what have they done with the Edmonton Oilers?!?!?

We need to keep drafting college bound kids that intend to stay in school for the full 4 years. That way they stay clear of the current Oiler development crew as long as possible...giving them hope towards being an NHL player beyond a 4th line plugger and/or 5th D-man.

Kudos to Smid!

Makes one wonder just how many games it will take for the realization that Grebeshkov just doesn't understand the NA game.

Nilsson certainly has to shoot more - but the funny thing is, Horcoff says he enjoys playing with him because he holds the puck and put it to open spots. so he does just that and... no Horcoff. icon_lol

And somebody check Stoll for a pulse.

And really, Nilsson's in the damn slot. You do NOT pass from there. That was position "A" if ever such a thing existed....

Agreed. That's a little thing, but hey, it's a positive that he listened to whomever told him, after he didn't shoot, "next time, fire that thing on goal".

Because, just like Hemsky, he CAN shoot.

UGH.....Staios blocks one shot and we have to hear the Steady Steve moniker from Quinn, and how the guy has been so solid all season. Ummmm.....NO?

Remember folks.....the "Steady" in Steady Steve stands for "Steady Decline".

It comes from having a system tigher than a frog's a-hole.
Anytime any one of them sees an actual opportunity to move up, they ALL go.

And then Grebeshkov comes out and turns the puck over 3 times in less than 9 seconds on playing time.

*sigh*
