Adam wrote on Sun, 23 February 2020 21:21 | For a guy who looks competent out there, Haas sure doesn't accomplish much. 5-5-10 on the season in 52 games. That fourth line would make a really good AHL second line.
|
I honestly think he would be better on Mcdavid's wing than Chaisson, hehe. He actually is able to go to good spots out there and make some plays. Chaisson just looks lost 5v5.
Chaisson's 0.73 P/60 5v5 is behind guys like Khaira, Granlund, Jurco, Jones and Haas. He's barely ahead of Cave, Manning, Persson, KRussell.
But I guess we need Haas to play C.

FYI, I took a vacay day for tomorrow. Extra long weekend and relax time with a quiet house. So I’ll likely be posting all day on the nonsense haha

I am switching jobs off all next week between the two. I will join you in the nonsense posting. We can be like the two old guys in the Muppets balcony, Stadler and Waldorf

I’m a government worker and I should be writing reports all day. That being said my refresh button will be going hard all day. I’ll chip in with my Johnny Two Cents.

Yes, that's the last thing the NHL needs to sell their product. McDavid getting a penalty shot after a completely obvious illegal play on his breakaway.
The NHL is so good at this stuff.

I like that Kempe for the Kings.
It sure is nice to have #97 back...he's good.

Benson needs to stay up to get rid of the jitters. He seems to have the skill, just not the confidence.
2015/2016 - This Kool-Aid tastes like McDavid flavoured Drain-O.
2016/2017 - This Kool-Aid is starting to taste like juice.
2017/2018 - I'm drinking this Kool-Aid, in hopes that it's Drain-O.
2018/2019 - Another round of Drain-O, good sir!

Interesting player Kempe. Loads of speed, minimal finish. Miles Wood is another similar guy. If you want to add speed to your lineup in general, definitely would be nice guys to pick up.

10-16-26 in 61 games this year playing on one of the league's worst teams - that would be good for 7th on the Oilers. He'd be a top 6 forward for certain!

For sure he would. We have 2 wide open top 6 spots being taken by 4th liners :)
When a team is bad though, doesn't necessarily mean production dies. No pressure hockey, getting to play from behind all the time against teams sitting back. Can actually help the numbers.

Kings have nothing to worry about. He's only signed for 7 more years after this one at 8 figures a year. He'll be a spry 37 when it's done.

There is a price for having totally clueless wingers with McDavid out against LA's top line :(
Chaisson is basically dodging McDavid's cross ice pass there, and then off it goes back to our end. god...
And of course Brown is a godly sniper against us.
Kempe 2 points since I said he is Todd marchant on here

That was totally embarrassing and sad watching McDavid have to try and play with two of the slowest forwards on the team, Gagner and Chaisson were in opposite time zones as McDavid all game.. hard to make plays when your wingers aren't even on the TV screen.. If McD had a speedy forechecker with hands like a Yamo, he'd make mincemeat out of defenses... When Kassian comes back he'll have some more speed and skill to work with, but he could really use an upgrade on the other wing...
