Another factor could be that Stolarz does have arbitration rights this summer, according to copper and blue and cap friendly.

And his numbers aren't anything special, so I really can't see arbitration being a big issue for the Oilers with him.

The reality is the Oilers turned a Vezina candidate into an AHL goalie and will turn that AHl goalie into no return this offseason. And then they’ll make the guy that made that trade the GM for the next 3 years.

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

Oilers asset management is terrible. Has been for awhile, don’t see the end in sight with the current regime and OBC still around (even though the CEO and interim POHO says differently)

That said. Arbitration shouldn’t scare them away from playing Stolarz 30+ minutes in 10 games

If he doesn't play 10 games, he doesn't get arbitration rights, he simply gets to go wherever he wants...which one can reasonably assume isn't here...

Ufa you have less bargaining power. Why not keep it a team decision and have another asset? Do you really think koski can carry the mail?

Do you really think a UFA with a total of 19 games to his name has any bargaining power?

Look, the Oilers have made more than enough mistakes that we have to be dissecting the trade of an over-priced, under-performing UFA goalie for a young, un-proven, UFA goalie. The reality is that this is a nearly inconsequential move, with the caveat that it allows them to take a potential back up for next season for a test drive.

The president thinks he has the ideal male body.
It's hard to disagree that he has the ideal male body.

Again, so what? 3 weeks ago none of us ever knew this guy existed and now we want to get upset if he doesn't get to play in 10 games by the end of the season or he walks away as a UFA?
