We look like an over 50's beer league team. So slow. No one can make a pass. Beat to every puck

Our leaders need to step up and be leaders right now.

Long faces won’t bode well.

Good thing we are playing against the most likely team to blow a 4-0 lead. Third period Oilers could get it done.

I’m just shot gunning cope right now.

McDavid will never learn to pick up an open man lol

I know it's not overall his fault, but holy cow he is not learning defense yet. Maybe when he is in his 30's

Maybe this summer, instead of working on shooting or face offs, he will watch some game tape of himself in his own end. Steve Yzerman he is not.

This is game 1-20 Oilers all over again. Giving up odd man rushes galore, leaving players wide open, every single shot against seemingly ending up in the back of our net.

I thought we'd moved on from that? Apparently not. This team isn't going anywhere in the playoffs.

This is why the Oilers need to grind out every single win. We can't handle getting an easy victory. The self satisfaction is too strong.

It’s like Bouchard and McDavids brains go to 150% when they cross the opponents blue line, then roll back to 30% when they cross their own blue line.

It’s enraging.

The Oilers have been deserving of a pantsing for a while, so it's good that it's coming on a national broadcast against the Leafs.

The squad needs to realize that playing partial games is going to expose you. If they don't learn it from lesser losses, maybe they'll learn it from a curb-stomping.

This team can look like defensive dynamos one night, and then look like a team that has no idea what defending means the next night. That’s not a recipe for playoff success.

It’s like this team needs a ball busting coach to be successful, sadly. Look at Tocchet in Vancouver. Likely a short shelf life, but that is irrelevant right now.

And no, this is not an indictment on Knoblauch.

There was this strange 1-2 month period where we seemed to know when to collapse to our net and cover the slot area properly. That is just done with. Back to our slot and net being a free for all zone.

Only answer I can think of to get this team to put in a consistent honest effort is firing the coach.

I want something really dirty to happen this period by the Oilers.

When Knoby plays 29/97 together and things go South, he seems to think keeping them together is the answer...
Skinner should have been pulled earlier. Or at least a timeout. ...some kind of a change. icon_neutral

...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

I hope Nurse gets another 10 when he gets out.

A 10 where he actually deserves it.

Could be providence, as it gave the Oil a rest period.

Up 2 or 3 it is safe to put out Prince Cherry Pick to try to stack more goals for individual awards
